The closure of most of our year groups has been based on advice from the Borough’s Director of Public Health, Kelly O’Neill, in response to one case of Covid-19 in each affected year group. The requirements are that we close the group bubble and those children, identified as contacts isolate for 10 days. This is a timely reminder that with the easing of lockdown, socialising out of school between families can have a significant impact if rules are not followed. To mitigate this happening again I urge all parents to be mindful that this has an effect on other families and children which is avoidable. If we all play our part we can help to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities and we can more safely return to normal, less restrictive, life.
