Dear Parents

The closure of most of our year groups has been based on advice from the Borough’s Director of Public Health, Kelly O’Neill, in response to one case of Covid-19 in each affected year group. The requirements are that we close the group bubble and those children, identified as contacts isolate for 10 days. This is a timely reminder that with the easing of lockdown, socialising out of school between families can have a significant impact if rules are not followed. To mitigate this happening again I urge all parents to be mindful that this has an effect on other families and children which is avoidable. If we all play our part we can help to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities and we can more safely return to normal, less restrictive, life

Kind regards

Mr Davis

A message from Kelly O'Neill, Director of Public Health for Hounslow.

Don't forget to collect your family’s rapid test pack

Regular rapid testing for parents, their households and bubbles

Remember: parents/guardians of school aged children can now collect a FREE pack of Rapid Tests (also known as Lateral Flow Tests) so that they can test themselves twice-weekly at home.

People in childcare bubbles or support bubbles with families that have school aged children are also eligible to receive the packs and are also being encouraged to test themselves twice a week.

Rapid Test packs are available to collect from the following collection sites in Hounslow:

  • Padstow Walk car park, Feltham TW14 9XU
  • Brabazon Road Sports Courts, Heston TW5 9LT
  • Stamford Brook car park, Chiswick W4 1NH

Collection sites are open between 1.00pm-8.00pmseven days a week. No need to book. To collect your family’s pack, you must be over 18 years old and NOT have COVID-19 symptoms. Please walk to the collection sites if you can, as parking is very limited at the sites and nearby. For additional collection site locations and opening times click here.

Did you know…?

  • You can also access Rapid Tests via your employer if they are offering testing to employees
  • If you cannot get tested at your workplace or are unable to go to a collection site, you can order a home test kit online: Order rapid lateral flow home test kits
  • You should report every result to NHS Test and Trace on the same day you take the test. Report your test result online or by calling 119.
