Letters and Information
We look forward to welcoming all the children back into school on Monday 8th March 2021.
We are really looking forward to the remainder of the academic year and we will do everything in our power to make the learning experience as engaging as possible for all our pupils. The children’s wellbeing, safety and education is our absolute priority. We would like to take this opportunity to communicate some of the simple, but extremely important, protocols that we must insist that you all adhere to:
Keeping families safe
Infection rates remain high locally and we wish families to remain safe. I would request that parents always wear masks when dropping off or collecting. We understand that some parents have exemptions from mask wearing which of course is allowed. We do ask that parents keep social distances, leave promptly and avoid stopping to talk or congregating.
Drop - off
Children in Year 1 and Year 2 will be dropped off at the KS1 playground entrance while children in KS2 will be dropped off at the main school gate between 8:45-9am (no earlier, no later). They will then walk to their classes. Reception children will be encouraged to walk down the main drive to their entrance where a class teacher will be waiting. If a child needs to be dropped off at the gate then the gate on to the field will be open where parents can then exit on Hatton Road. Nursery children can be dropped off at the classroom entrance on the main school drive for 8.30am and can then leave via the main school gate. Some families will have siblings with different start times - please drop your child that has the earliest start time off first. The other child/children will be met by one of our staff in the playground to go into class early. Only one parent to drop off.
Scooters and bikes
No children will be able to leave bikes or scooters at school for the foreseeable future.
Parents can secure bikes outside the school and carry scooters back home (in circumstances where your child cannot walk to school). This is so that entering and exiting can be simple, quick and safe.
Please keep to the one-way system for KS1 & KS2 when collecting your children. Reception and KS2 will have access points to the field along the drive and into the field where parents can now exit onto Hatton Road. Keep to the right hand side at all times to ensure this can remain a possibility. However, the back passage will still be the encouraged route. We will review this on an ongoing basis. At collection time, pick-up your earliest child first. If you have children with the same collection time, collect your youngest child first. Any logistical problems around pick-up can be solved by communicating with the members of staff on the school gate. Only one parent to pick up.
Time keeping is paramount, so please do not be early or late – be on time.

PPE in school
Children will not wear masks in school. We will ensure enhanced washing of hands, keep children in year group bubbles and increase the cleaning of high-traffic areas.
Breakfast Club and Aftercare

If your child is unwell with Covid symptoms
If your child shows any of the symptoms of Coronavirus you will be contacted immediately and your child will be sent home. A test should be booked immediately. Your child will need to stay off school for 14 days before they can return unless they still have symptoms. If your child tests positive then the entire household should isolate for 10 days. Please ensure that we have up to date contact details.
PE kits on PE days
On days when your child has PE, we would ask that they come to school in their PE kits.
Play dates outside of school hours
Please may we request that you refrain from out of school activities and play dates in order to safeguard our isolated bubbles from further exposure.
Thank you for continued support and co-operation.
