Project Achieve

Project Achieve is a behaviour support programme which encourages children to take responsibility for their own actions and is taught in Reception and Key Stage 1. Each fortnight we focus on a social skill such as  following instructions, asking for help or taking turns.

The children are taught to ‘Stop’ and ‘Think’ about their behaviour.

If a child is acting inappropriately, he/she will be asked if he/she wants to make a ‘Good Choice’ or a ‘Bad Choice’.

The child is then helped to decide what he/she wants to do and the consequences of the choice is discussed.

The child is praised for making a good choice.
